
David is a registered professional geologist with 23 years of experience collecting, analyzing and presenting natural resource information for clients throughout North and South America. He specializes in the use of databases, GIS, remote sensing and hydrologic modeling to develop innovative solutions to environmental problems.
David provides natural resource management and planning expertise to natural resource industries and businesses, government agencies and municipalities. He has managed multidisciplinary efforts to characterize and solve environmental problems, including the design and construction of GIS-based decision support models.
David is currently project manager and lead scientist for ongoing TMDL projects in the Blackfoot River watershed in Montana. He is leading an effort to track reclamation progress in natural-gas fields through the assessment of vegetation using satellite imagery. David was also the principal author of the Silver Bow Creek Watershed Restoration Plan, a restoration plan for the Silver Bow Creek watershed at Butte, Montana — the largest superfund site in the United States. David holds a master's of science degree from University of Wyoming.
